These belts are hand made by the author of this site and use old bicycle tyres from my local bike shop. Bicycle tyres make really good, long lasting belts and they are also a really good way of re-using bicycle tyres.
These belts are rough and ready, have a vintage feel to them, and make for a trendy and unusual fashion item. They also make great presents for people who are passionate about cycling and all things cycling.
Each belt costs £14 including postage. You can either order a belt from my Ebay account (see below) or you can contact me for a custom made belt to suit your own size and requirements (see below).
Custom Made Belt
If you want to order your own custom made belt get in touch with me using the Contact form on this website. You will need to let me know what type of tyre you want the belt to be made from: a classic racer tyre, which is thin and generally has a smooth surface, a tourer tyre which is wider and has more of a patterned surface, or a classic mountain bike style tyre which is wide and has a very ‘knobbly’ patterned surface (see image below).
Please note that the specific tyre I use for your belt will be unique and will not be in exact accord with the images above, which are just for demonstration purposes.
Once you have selected the type of tyre you want your belt to be made from you will then need to let me know what waist size you want the belt to fit, and also what width of belt you require. Racer tyres come in only one width which is small (approx. 3cm), tourer tyres also come in a standard width which is medium (approx 5 cm), but mountain bike tyres can be cut to size as they can be very wide. Unless you state otherwise, if you select a mountain bike tyre for your belt the width will be of the order of 8cm.
If you have a specific buckle you would like me to use for your belt either post it to me or send me the link for it and I will purchase it, make your belt with it, and if the buckle costs more than £3 I will add the difference to the cost of the belt. Otherwise I will use standard buckles as seen in the images below.

All of the belts are made long so they can fit a wide variety of waist sizes. They are easy enough to cut shorter with a pair of scissors once you get them home, or you can ask me to do so before posting it to you if you let me know the required waist size when you order.
